You can now protect yourself and your children from the dreaded meningitis, also known as tick-borne encephalitis. As there have been several cases of tick-borne encephalitis in the Erlangen region, the health insurance providers will now cover the costs for the vaccination. The tolerance of the vaccination is good and with it, you will be protected from this infection for 3-5 years. Athletes, in particular, should not refrain from this protection.
